Strawberries are the only fruit to wear their seeds on the outside? The average berry is adorned with 200 some seeds.

Native Americans ate strawberries long before European settlers arrived. As spring’s first fruit, they were eaten freshly picked or even baked into cornbread.

Americans eat an average of three and a half pounds of fresh strawberries a year. It is closer to 5 pounds if you count frozen berries.
